Our Global CIT team are currently seeking to recruit a Senior Desktop Support Analyst for our Sydney office where you will be responsible for all infrastructure support. This is a client facing role that will see you working autonomously, reporting to a regional team lead. You will also be supported by Nasdaq’s 24 x 7 IT service desk for all Level 1 issues and queries. You will be the primary escalation point for all 2nd level end user queries and issues ensuring effective documentation and knowledge sharing of all applicable fixes other key responsibilities in this role will include handling support tickets via itsm, email and phone ensuring effective management of all issues and queries, taking ownership of issues and seeing them through to resolution or further correct escalation, detailing support procedures appropriately and maintaining systems and operational documentation, video and voice setup and support along with asset management procedures. To be considered for this fast paced role your skills will include proven experience with various microsoft products along with experience with pxe (commercial linux and osx experience is highly desirable), experience in high volume machine building (pxe / ghosting) with practical understanding of image creation process, experience in documentation and transferring of knowledge and pro-active improvement plans. (sharepoint and atlassian), strong knowledge of software deployment sccm, linux satellite experience would be highly regarded, experience in supporting and configuring vpn’s and desktop virtualization, proven experience with setting up and supporting vtc (video and voice) essential polycom and hi path are preferred, practical understanding of networking lan/wan and tcp/ip, vpn essential, practical understanding of unix / linux with basic bash command skills is highly desirable, practical understanding of corporate security practices including remote patching, malware, phishing, spyware and virus’s (sep preferred), analytical thinking, attention to detail and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment essential, clarity of communication (verbal and written) along with experience in in assimilation of varied technical documentation is a must, mcse certification red hat ex200 certification, itil foundation certification, knowledge of itsm / jira or other tracking systems are beneficial, this is an exciting position in a growing business that would suit someone who is a serious self-starter.
