Senior Assistant Accountant Hunter Campbell Limited location Auckland.

Our client work for one of New Zealand's most iconic brands who are continuously leading the way in creativity and innovation. Due to increased demand, they are now looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their existing finance team.

You will be a customer focused individual who enjoys working within a supportive and high performing team environment.  Your key relationships will be supporting suppliers, customers, internal departments, finance team and Finance Manager by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.

The Role strong month end focus. Remittance advice reconciliation. Daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts. Budgeting and forecasting analysis. Month end journals and standard balance sheet reconciliations. Entering financial information into appropriate software programs. Attending meetings with different internal departments alongside the Manager to provide financial updates and presentations. Assisting the finance team, fellow Assistant Accountant and Finance Manager with various ad hoc support.

Skills and requirements 3+ years Assistant Accountant experience. Intermediate to advanced computer skills especially Excel (must be familiar with VLOOKUPS and pivot tables). Experience with Dynamics 365 would be beneficial but not essential. An effective communicator and providing excellent customer service both internally and externally.

Ability to analyse information identifying cause and effect in order to help solve problems. Open to new approaches, positive about change and great work ethic (you will be required to work from home initially - online induction and equipment will be provided). Careful attention to detail and high level of accuracy in recording and checking information.
