Senior Analyst - Market Intelligence and Analysis. Reserve Bank of New Zealans. Apply your expertise to provide insights to the Reserve Bank's policy committees. Provide analysis and research on financial market developments. Permanent role, Auckland or Wellington based.

Pivotal role responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and/or research across a range of areas to address complex questions and challenges facing both the New Zealand and global economies and financial markets.

The role as Senior Analyst in Market Intelligence and Analysis, your primary role is to provide analysis and research on financial market developments, the transmission of monetary policy in New Zealand, and the transmission of global developments to the New Zealand economy and financial system. You will have an area of responsibility within the domestic or global markets areas of the team, and be responsible for monitoring developments, building analytical frameworks, and communicating insights related to that area.

About you, you're passionate about the contribution you can make to New Zealand's economic wellbeing, you have a strong blend of people and extensive economics, finance knowledge.

You'll bring to the role a post-graduate degree in economics, finance, or a similar quantitative field. Have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in an analytical macroeconomics or financial market role.

Experience in economic or financial market research, policy analysis, and utilizing empirical/modelling skills to address policy questions. Experience using coding languages for analysis, for example MATLAB, Python or R. Effective collaboration within interdisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders. Ability to draw on colleagues' knowledge and skills to enhance outcomes and contribute constructively to the work of others.
