Description

Senior Alcohol and Drug (AOD) Clinician Purapura Whetu Trust location Canterbury.

Purapura Whetu is looking for a senior AOD clinician to support clients within Rolleston Prison's Alcohol and Other Drugs programme, both as a facilitator or groups and a key worker for individual clients.

This role will also support the Team Leader by providing clinical oversight and team leadership in their absence. Our model, based on a therapeutic community, means that staff support recreation, medication, and activities as well as treatment plans, group education and whanau work. Hours are Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.

You will need good organisational skills. Ability to complete alcohol and other drug assessments preferred. To be a strong communicator both one on one and in groups. To be a team player working with clinicians and support workers. Have strong experience in mental health and/or alcohol or other drug treatment. Registered and qualified in an allied health profession. Developing leadership skills.
