We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Ngā Ringa Rautaki I Strategic Partnerships and Programmes Team. With a focus on robust policy advice Te Ao Māori critical analysis skills this role is positioned within a team that takes pride in their work and values contributing to community, hapū and Iwi aspirations.
To be successful in this role, you will have capability and confidence within te reo Māori me ona tikanga. Strong understanding of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and Māori-Crown relationships. Experience in Te Tiriti o Waitangi based practice. A strong background in policy development and Te Ao Māori critical analysis.
Excellent oral and written communication, with proven experience writing for senior stakeholders. Ability to work with, and develop services that support Māori, Pacific peoples and other ethnic communities and strong relationship development skills. Experience in delivering programme/business improvements initiatives.
You should also have experience in working with hapū, iwi, hāpori Māori and communities. The ability to plan, organise and manage work effectively to meet multiple deadlines. The ability to rapidly adapt in a fast paced and changing environment. Experience in provision of advice to Ministers. DIA offers opportunities to grow.
