About the role we are looking for a Security Analyst to join the team in Sydney. This role focuses on Detection & Response, working on infrastructure and operations while contributing as a generalist within the security team. The company values creativity and lateral thinking, offering a dynamic, agile work environment with a flat organisational structure.
Key responsibilities develop and manage security monitoring and automation tools to enhance detection and response capabilities. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve vulnerability management processes. Investigate and triage security events, manage vulnerabilities on endpoints, servers, and cloud infrastructure.
Handle patch management, software compliance, and license management. Identify new threats and fine-tune detection capabilities using existing and new tools. Evaluate new and emerging security technologies to enhance overall security. Promote security awareness across the company through collaboration and mentorship.
Qualifications & skills commercial experience working in security operations, detection engineering, or related roles. Hands-on experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms, securing endpoints, and managing security incident response lifecycles.
Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., O365, EntraID). Knowledge of modern adversary tactics, security vulnerabilities, patching, and remediation.
