School Administration Assistant Lotus People location Sydney. $35 per hour + super.

About the role in this exciting part-time temporary position, you will provide valuable support to students at the school. Sitting in one of the reception areas, you will be responsible for providing a friendly and professional welcome to students and visitors. This is an important role where you will be responding to phone calls, handling student and parent enquiries as well as managing the online database for student files. You will be the go-to person to coordinate a range of everyday tasks including managing lost property, allocating lockers, attending to issues raised by students, parents or teachers and managing busy periods throughout the day.
Duties greet and welcome visitors to the school in a friendly and professional manner. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department. Handle student and parent enquiries, providing information about school policies, procedures, and programs. Provide excellent customer service to all students, parents, and teachers who visit or contact the school and attend to any issues or concerns raised. Manage busy periods at specific times of the day and maintain a calm and organised reception area.
Skills & experience to be successful in this role, you will be outgoing and friendly in nature. You will be someone who enjoys speaking with people, building relationships and providing excellent customer service. You will have a positive and even-tempered attitude and be able to remain calm and focused in challenging situations. You will enjoy working in a team environment and open to learning new skills and systems and software. You will be someone that can adapt to changing priorities and take initiative to complete tasks to a high standard.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents and students. Experience in reception, administration or customer service role, with excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to remain calm, focused and organised in challenging situation. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong working knowledge of MS Office. To be considered for this role, will need to have a valid Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one before commencing employment.
