Sales and Warehousing Mainland Fasteners Limited location Canterbury.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, quick thinking staff member to work in our warehouse with possibility of advancement for the right person. Duties include picking and packing orders and all matters associated with sales, warehousing and distribution of nuts, bolts, screws and all other fastenings. Situated in Sydenham, Christchurch with immediate start.

The work involves picking and packing accurate orders ready for dispatching to our customers. Meeting multiple courier deadlines throughout the day to ensure a same day or overnight service to our customers.

Receipting incoming stock and storing in allocated areas. General warehouse duties, tidying up shelving, re-packing products, restocking shelves. Responsibility for the overall cleanliness and appearance of the warehouse.

If you are dependable, reliable, hardworking and have a great attendance record. Organised and like to show pride in your work. Have a mechanical /DIY aptitude. Fit and don’t mind hard work as the role is physically demanding and requires lifting heavy items.

Have a good understanding of computers and a focus on processes and continuous improvement. Have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and build strong internal and external relationships. A team orientated person. Have a valid forklift/drivers license preferred.
