Sales and Development Manager Private Advertiser location Sydney.
Full Time Sales Manager is required by prestigious Wholesale Nursery in Sydney’s West. The Nursery is a supplier of quality plants to NSW/ACT nurseries and Garden Centres. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a team focused individual to join the nursery in the position of Sales & Development Manager.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, energetic and proactive person to fill this newly created role within our sales team. The position will involve servicing existing customers whilst also seeking out and developing new business opportunities and developing our new online sales platform. The role requires a self-motivated and results focused individual who can quickly identify opportunities and establish rapport.
Key responsibilities are but not limited to develop and grow a new online sales platform. Managing key customer accounts. Be able to create and maintain strong relationships with the client base to assist and exceed the customer's needs.
Be responsible for growing the sales of the assigned customer accounts through weekly orders, Maintaining and growing the existing space represented at all our customers, New products, Monitoring stock lines, Evaluate and develop new business opportunities.
Proforma KPI’s for year one Establish a new online selling platform within the first 3 months. Investigate new markets to achieve additional sales to the value of $100,000. Increase existing customer sales by 10%. Work closely with the finance team to identify and remove non-profitable items. Manage the current sales reps. Create new markets for sales of large plants. Establish markets for the sales of Christmas Trees for 2021 year.
To be successful in this role you must have a proven record in the wholesale nursery industry and specific experience with production costs, on-line marketing and selling and the ability to work closely with the Nursery Manager and the finance team. Non-Restricted NSW car licence with a good driving record, plus your own vehicle. Exceptional communication, organisation and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Attention to detail. A positive, energetic, can do attitude willing to at times think outside the box. Ability to enjoy their job whilst working in a fun and dynamic environment. Be able to work with a high degree of autonomy. Salary will be in line with experience.
