OUR TEAM
Our Explosive Ordnance Systems team enables the Australian Defence Force through storage, distribution, maintenance and disposal of these systems, all across Australia. YOUR ROLE
Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and regulations
Monitor and support risk management processes
Assist in the compliance activities relating to Commonwealth Authority (Comcare) Major Hazardous Facilities (MHF) Regulations for the Region.
Implement, maintain and review Safety Management Systems
Ensure regional compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) and Defence Security Manual (DSM) requirements
Preparing documentation for security clearance applications of employees
Investigating, making recommendations and preparing reports of security breaches and potential incidents
Liaising with the Defence Security Authority and other related departments
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Cert IV in WHS (or ability to obtain)
Excellent judgement and initiative to resolve a wide range of technical issues
Experience in managing workplace HSE requirements
Sound knowledge, experience and understanding of HSE Legislation
Familiar with Microsoft Suite and quick to learn new systems
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE ROLES & SECURITY
A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
