We are on the lookout for a safety professional with a background in coal mining to join a safety leadership team based in Brisbane and support the role.

What you’ll be doing providing technical Health, Safety and Compliance support across 5 - 7 sites across Queensland. Work toward creating and driving a centralised support system for all sites. Build, mentor and coach all H&S personnel to help build the H&S Capability at sites.

Conduct formal and informal reviews of site SHMS and critical risk management systems implementation and effectiveness. Provide support to site H&S leadership teams. Regular travel to various sites.

What You’ll bring demonstrated site-based mining industry experience in a Health & Safety Capacity. Extensive knowledge of Coal Mining Safety and Health. People management and leadership experience and ability to engage with frontline leaders. Experience establishing and maintaining Safety & Health Management Systems within a mining environment
