As the risk specialist across Barwon Water, you’ll partner with people leaders on range of audits and compliance improvements. You’ll own risk management activities, providing regular updates of the risk register, the integrated management system, and reporting on audit finding to Senior Leaders, including the Executive.

Empowered with a broad remit, you’ll support and manage the regular audit cycle, including the preparation of committees and annual accreditation reports. Applying through knowledge of best practice risk frameworks, you’ll build a culture of capability in line with strategic goals and build trust in the organisation's activities.

Working with key stakeholders across the business, you’ll ensure a consistent approach to auditing and reporting on compliance breaches. You’ll present insights which to complex challenges as you deliver on policy and procedural obligations.

This is a 12 month position to cover a period of parental leave.

As the Risk and Compliance Business Partner, you are naturally inquisitive and highly collaborative. You are an influencer of others and apply a consultative approach with stakeholders to achieve exceptional outcomes. Using your initiative, you enjoy working with others to create compliance first culture providing expert advice on all matters pertaining to risk, governance and assurance.

Your qualifications in business or finance will underpin your success and combine with your experience in risk and governance management, As a trusted partner, you’ll provide specialist advice that contributes to the business. You’ll be supported in your role by a tight knit and high performing team who will encourage your continued development.
