Retail Manager Cranford Hospice location Hawkes Bay.
Our three second hand stores form a large part of our fundraising activity by turning second-hand goods into first-hand care. We pride ourselves on the warm and friendly environment at our retail stores and this role is vital in maintaining these high standards. This is an independent position that requires an organised and motivated person that is able to interact with and lead a diverse range of people in a sensitive and professional manner.
This paid position is for four days a week with a total of 30 hours per week. The ideal applicant will be experienced in the retail sector, be a ‘people person’ with staff management skills, retail systems knowledge and the ability to lead and role model for a large team of volunteers. Essential to these roles is knowledge in quality assurance systems, and current health and safety legislation requirements.
Applicants must have the following qualities experience in retail management and staff leadership and mentoring. Excellent communication, marketing and merchandising skills. Have established networks and networking skills to support all areas of retail operations. 100% level of integrity and professionalism, honesty and reliability. Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work to KPI’s and seasonal goals. Relationship management skills to help guide and motivate volunteers and staff. Support our sponsors and donors and give excellent customer service. Strong computer literacy. Elevated levels of stamina and energy to keep stock rotation at a maximum level. Flexibility to work additional hours and days to support the delivery of our retail operations as required.
