About this role we are currently seeking a Regulatory Services Manager to lead our regulatory functions, including Building Control, Consent Planning, Environmental Health, Alcohol Licensing, Animal Control, and Compliance and Enforcement.

This key leadership role ensures that regulatory services are delivered efficiently and in line with legislation, Council policies, and service standards. (MDC’s regulatory functions are provided as a combination of in-house and contracted services).

This role also gives oversight and advice to the wider Council on regulatory matters and will lead motivated experts in a way that allows everyone in the team to bring their best selves to work. To learn more, a full position description can be viewed here

About you great candidates will have experience in regulatory leadership and enjoy the dual challenge of leading teams and providing expert advisory services. Importantly, you will be passionate and experienced in providing services are community centred, fully compliant and commercially astute. A background working in local government is useful but not required.
