Registered nurses play a vital role in the lives of the older persons by providing quality, responsive and compassionate care that supports a trusted and long-term relationship with our older persons. Working closely with the enrolled nurses and the collaborative healthcare team including the regional managers, the registered nurse will provide person-centred care to support the older persons.

About you to be considered for this rewarding role you will have great interpersonal skills and the ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team. To be successful you must strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced environments.

Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of employees. Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail. Be able to follow policies and procedures at all times. Sensitive and adaptable to older persons different personalities, cultural backgrounds and personal circumstances and most importantly a positive attitude.

You will also need APHRA registration to practice as a registered nurse in Australia. previous experience working in an aged care residential facility (highly desirable). previous experience working in remote areas (desirable). NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain).

NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You', a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence, current flu vaccination (recommended), first aid and CPR (or the ability to obtain).

About the offer this is a remote position in the Lower Gulf on a 6 week on 2 week off rotating roster.
