About Orange Sky we are on a mission to Positively Connect Communities and we do this by providing the world's-first free mobile laundry and shower service to people experiencing homelessness. We offer a platform for everyday New Zealanders to connect by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.

The role we’re always looking to increase our impact and help more Friends on the street – striving to continually improve is in our DNA at Orange Sky. This role is a key member of our dynamic Operations Team and is responsible for the effective delivery, maintenance, improvements and growth of services across Aotearoa. You will build meaningful relationships with key partners, volunteers and ensure the services are equitable for all communities in need within Aotearoa. The role will be based remotely in one of our service locations (Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch or Hamilton).

In a nutshell, this role is responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of service, safety, and culture throughout the services in your designated region, which includes incident and risk management. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including volunteers, service providers, friends, community members iwi and hapū.

Manage the process and actions of all incidents within your region ensuring first point resolution for our stakeholders. Management of all recruitment, induction, training, and support of your regional volunteer leadership teams &/ or Remote Partner employees in designated region. Support OSNZ on its journey to build cultural capability and understanding, in particular on how this supports equitable delivery of services.

About you our perfect fit has experience in a similar role within a fast-paced organisation, ideally within the not-for-profit sector and working with a large volunteer base.

Additionally, the ideal applicant has proven ability for excellence in service delivery and volunteer programs. 3+ years’ experience in community related project development and meeting program objectives. Excellent understanding of service delivery, particularly in relation to Homelessness, experience working with Iwi / Māori and /or working with vulnerable communities, preferably in a bi-cultural setting. Ability to travel and work flexibly as required.
