Receptionist or Student Liaison Support Kerikeri Primary School location Northland.

Ideal junior to intermediate level role. Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 3.30pm school term time only. 45 weeks per annum (including four weeks annual leave and paid public holidays outside of term time). Our school office is a busy information hub for students, parents, families, guests and staff.  Based at the front desk, you will be responsbile for delivering quality support and effective service at all times.

Key responsibilities provide assistance to people who phone and visit the school. Assist children with transport, lunch, sport and other general questions. Be the designated First Aid Officer for injuries to sick and injured students and manage medical supplies.  First Aid Level 2 Certificate required (training will be provided).

Enter pupil attendance and personal details on the student management system (E-Tap) and provide information required by staff/external organisations from this database in a timely manner. General administrative and office duties e.g. ordering staffroom and office supplies. Prepare student sandwiches and staff morning tea once a week and on special occasions. Other administration duties as requested by the Office Manager.

Personal attributes demonstrate empathy when communicating with children. A professional and personable manner combined with the ability to positively engage with a diverse range of people. Ability to maintain a calm demeanour and positive attitude in a fast paced working environment. Proficient in the use of microsoft office.
