Description

Receptionist or Office Coordinator The National Trust of Australia (NSW) location Sydney. Sal Pkg $56.7k inc super.

Receptionist/Office coordinator the National Trust NSW is the State’s largest community based conservation organisation. It operates a number of important museums and leased historic properties while also looking after a large collection of objects and archaeological artefacts. The Trust is committed to providing educational and cultural services that enhance public knowledge and protect our State’s special places.

About the role an exciting opportunity exists for a Receptionist/Officer Coordinator to be not only the ‘face’ of the National Trust NSW, but take an active role in the administration of the office and venue hire for the building. Reporting to the Director, People, you will have the standard receptionist duties such as the appearance of the office, incoming calls, mail and stationery requisitions, but there is depth and substance in this role.

You have responsibility for managing the venue hire function for the National Trust Centre, building strong relationships with our key clients. You will also partner with our Fundraising and Membership Division to support and facilitate the smooth operation of our membership data, including liaison with our members to assist them in their enquiries.

This is not a role where you can expect to sit at a desk all day answering a phone; you will be involved in the business and can expect to be busy. There is also a physical component involving the set-up of rooms for various venue hires so whilst we welcome mature candidates, you must have a degree of fitness to be able to perform the role.

About you this is a multifaceted role that reaches across the organisation. You need to be organised, have a sunny and positive disposition with an ability to focus on the details. Accuracy in data entry combined with computer literacy are a must. The flexibility to meet a wide range of job demands and an ability to work autonomously or as part of a team are also critical requirements of the role. If you love working with people and have a passion for the environment or the protection of heritage, this is the role for you.
