About Orange Sky is the world's-first free mobile laundry and shower service provided to people experiencing homelessness. We offer a platform for everyday Australians and Kiwis to connect by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.

We currently operate 36 services across 25 locations in Australia and three services across two locations in New Zealand. There are 116,000 Australians and 41,600 Kiwis experiencing homelessness, and we’re on a mission to positively connect these communities through clean clothes, warm showers, and genuine, non-judgemental conversation. The role to support our continued growth, we are looking for an exceptional receptionist and administrator to join the team. You will work at our Brisbane HQ and be responsible for our front reception desk, providing outstanding service to our friends, volunteers and anyone else who walks in the door. As well as administrative support to the wider team.

In a nutshell this role is responsible for general HQ administration duties - including greeting guests, answering phone calls, maintaining office records, stationery orders, preparing for meetings, etc. with the highest level of professionalism. Accepting regular deliveries from couriers and arranging delivery of material to sites. Banking and assistance with credit card invoices.

Ensuring templated responses are up to date and current. Assistance with HQ upkeep and maintenance. Assist the Operations team with distribution of volunteer onboarding packs. Assist volunteers in the HQ laundry. Booking travel and accommodation for various team members. Organising HQ and offsite events ie catering, bookings, travel etc.

Assistance with staff milestone, onboarding and offboarding events. Update contract register ensuring current versions are maintained in a central repository. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders (volunteers, staff, friends, office suppliers, donors and other service providers). Develop and update administration processes and procedures.

Crazy things happen. You should be able to pause and laugh at them for a second before quickly taking action to make crazy problems disappear seamlessly. You’ll be cool and collected, bringing your solid admin experience in a super-fast paced environment.

Selection criteria previous administration experience is essential. Experience in a customer facing role. Positive team player with a collaborative focus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills face-to-face and over the phone. Have a sense of urgency and be able to multitask and handle matters promptly, is efficient and organised, with the ability to prioritise workload.

Highly developed computer literacy and previous experience working across multiple cloud-based systems. Agile, highly flexible and eager to learn. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Problem solving skills (quick thinking on your feet, able to troubleshoot). Ready to work within the company’s existing systems and processes, and committed to identifying continuous improvement opportunities and their implementation, Valid Driver’s Licence, An understanding of and genuine passion for OSA’s cause.
