Receptionist or Admin Assistant Ministry of Justice location Wellington.

About the role we are looking for a full time Receptionist/Administration Assistant t to join our team in our Central Auckland Office. We are a collegial and professional office with around 45 legal and support staff. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team who have a genuine interest in sharing knowledge and supporting one-another in an enjoyable, busy and sometimes challenging environment.

Your duties will include setting up reception duties, answering phone calls from key internal and external stakeholders and clients, dealing with a busy inbox, opening hard copy client files, photo copying and data entry.

About our Team The Public Defence Service (PDS) is New Zealand's largest criminal law practice, providing high quality legal advice and representation in a full range of criminal cases. Aimed at helping people access justice, the PDS promotes the values of respect, integrity, service and the delivery of excellent service to its clients.

Skills and experience to be successful in this role you will need to have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and  be a self-starter with proven initiative, a team player, experienced and efficient in a range of administration functions including typing and data entry, keen to learn about the world of criminal defence law.

Whilst you may have already gained some experience in a professional environment that is customer driven, and been involved in general office administration tasks, this is a chance for you to get in at the 'ground floor' and establish a great career path for yourself.
