Transcultural Mental Health Centre Receptionist Western Sydney Local Health District location Sydney.

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing the Transcultural Mental Health Centre (TMHC) is a state-wide service that contributes to a comprehensive NSW Health response including public health planning and service provision in which the primary goal is to improve the mental health and wellbeing of populations. The TMHC promotes access to mental health services and equity in service provision for people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

The TMHC Receptions provides a professional first point of contact to visitors contacting and attending the Centre, as well as, providing a comprehensive range of reception and administrative functions to support the TMHC in meeting its state-wide specialist service brief. Selection criteria demonstrated recent administration experience with knowledge of procedures relating to telephone, reception and customer service. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated high level skills in computer program packages including MS Office, Iprocurement, HealthRoster and HPE Content Manager.

Experience in communicating with culturally and/or linguistically diverse communities and/or people with mental health issues. Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in dealing with conflict and/or difficult behaviours. Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality.
