Receptionist VetPartners location Sydney .

Vets At North Rocks is a small animal practice situated in northwest Sydney. We are a close knit, small team who are looking to expand our veterinary team. We are fully equipped with computed radiology, ultrasound, in-house pathology, separate cat and dog wards, monitoring equipment (including Doppler, Capnography and ECG), IV fluid pumps and IM3 dental unit with x-ray. We are currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to come on board and join us as a part-time Receptionist.

The successful applicant will be driven to provide a high level of patient care and client. Be driven to establish and maintain a rapport with our clientele. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be willing to work hard as a valuable member of our team. Have a positive, can-do attitude. Have a sense of humour but maintain our professional standards. We are ideally looking for someone who can work part time. Weekend work may be required rarely but shifts are short and shared fairly between the nursing staff.

Daily tasks expected of you will include reception duties first and foremost: taking incoming phone calls, patient call backs, distributing patient reminders, meeting and greeting consultations, processing transactions, merchandise sales at the front desk, managing our facebook page.

On a daily basis you will also be required to perform nursing duties including: assisting veterinarians and nurses with patient treatments, animal handling and restraint, giving clients phone updates, wrapping and sterilising surgical kits, offering general animal care advice to clients, monitoring of general anaesthetics, general clinic cleaning.

Experience (minimum 1 year) in the industry is preferred but not essential. Any further training required will be provided on-job by our experienced nurses and veterinarians. We operate using RX Works software and experience with this operating system is also preferred but not essential. Applicants should have a private and reliable means of transport to work.
