Receptionist Music Education Centre location Auckland.

In this role you will be facilitating the opportunity for people of all ages and especially children to benefit from a musical education and subsequently enhance their overall personal development. You will be the “go-to person” providing a wide range of support services to students, parents, teachers and centre administration in a reliable fashion to create a positive and smooth-running experience for all parties involved, with a special emphasis on booking students into lesson times.

This is the perfect role for someone with attention to detail, who enjoys the responsibility of being a key part of a small and tightly knit team, who thrives on knowing what they do and how they do it will help clients and colleagues. Having a sense of humour is a must.

With over 1600 students learning across Auckland, this position based at our North Shore Centre offers a true variety of tasks, which includes being the driving force behind sales/new enrolments. Answering all phone calls and online queries regarding lessons (eg. instruments we offer, fees, times, locations, teachers, booking process etc). Converting enquiries from phone or online into a lesson booking.

Where conversion is not possible for now, nurture leads with a mix of automation and manual follow up. Recording all incoming sales enquires, their source, and outcome on a weekly basis. Maintaining tidy first impressions workspace. Greeting customers and teachers on reception. Arrange and complete timetable changes for students when required.

Check email accounts daily and forward emails as appropriate. Following up on cancelled students contacted and the reasons. Confirm new student information, timetable transfers and stopped student information with teachers. Schedule txt reminders for first lessons.

Take and receipt all payments over the counter and phone. Be able to delegate to tasks to part-time support staff. Applicants do not require any formal qualifications however a previous knowledge of music or playing a musical instrument would be advantageous.

Experience customer service both face to face, and over the phone/online.  Inbound telephone answering and enquiries. Outbound telephone sales.

Skills, Abilities, Personal attributes honesty and Reliability. Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Flexibility to concurrently undertake a multitude of tasks and to achieve multiple deadlines. Initiative and the capacity to work unsupervised. Sets and maintains high work standards.

Methodical and accurate in one’s work, whilst achieving a high work rate. Basic levels of proficiency in relevant computer software, including MS Excel and Word. Familiarity with using CRM systems. Ability to learn new software as required. Thrives on a challenge and is motivated to win. Works well with targets and deadlines.
