Position overview we are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Front Desk Staff member at the Wantirna Club. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, managing inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities guest Reception Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Assist with reservations and memberships, and provide information about the venue's offerings, including dining, gaming, and special events.

Customer Service Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and interact with guests in person, maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor at all times.

Reservation Management Manage the reservation system, including taking reservations, confirming bookings, and updating the availability of dining and gaming spaces. Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless reservation processes.

Cash Handling Process cash transactions, manage the cash register, and handle payments for bookings, deposits, and other services. Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile cash at the end of each shift.

Information Resource Stay informed about the bistro's menu, gaming options, and special promotions to provide accurate and up-to-date information to guests. Assist guests in navigating the venue and provide recommendations based on their preferences.

Administrative Support Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and record-keeping. Maintain organized and updated guest information, reservation records, and other relevant documentation.

Communication Liaison Serve as a communication hub between guests and different departments within the venue. Relay messages, requests, and special arrangements to the appropriate staff members to ensure seamless service delivery.

Safety and Security Monitor the reception area and maintain a secure environment by adhering to access control policies and procedures. Follow safety protocols and promptly report any safety or security concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Problem Resolution Address guest concerns and complaints in a timely and efficient manner, escalating issues to the management team when necessary. Strive to resolve conflicts and ensure guest satisfaction.

Essential qualifications and experience previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage reservations and administrative tasks effectively.

Proficiency in using reservation systems, POS software, and basic computer applications. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain financial records. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry. Knowledge of the bistro's offerings, including menus, gaming options, and special promotions, is desirable.
