NextGen HR are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of the University of Divinity for the position of Reception and Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time ongoing role based in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor in Melbourne available for immediate commencement. The role is remunerated on the University’s salary scale at HEW Level 3.1 ($57,580 plus 15% superannuation and annual leave loading).

The University of Divinity is Australia’s leading provider of theological education and research, offering a wide range of awards in theology, ministry, philosophy, spirituality and counselling. The University operates through ten Colleges located in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.

Position description the Reception and Administrative Assistant provides operational and administrative support to the Operations Manager including reception, hospitality and event services, communications and marketing.

Key responsibilities provide a welcoming reception for visitors to the University of Divinity and tenants of the St Paschal’s Precinct.Be the first contact for general phone and email enquiries to the University. Provide hospitality and venue set-up for meetings and events held at St Paschal’s. Order office supplies and hospitality provisions as directed within budget.

Assist the Operations Manager in bookings and coordination of internal and external events. Assist the Operations Manager in preparing University marketing and communications including online and social content. Undertake other tasks as reasonably directed by the Operations Manager or Vice-Chancellor.

Selection Criteria  outstanding verbal and written communication. Excellent time-management, prioritisation and organization. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong computer and typing skills, with knowledge of Microsoft office products and diaries. Ability to work consistently when supervised or unsupervised.

Experience in planning events – desirable familiarity using WordPress content management system and social media - desirable familiarity using design software including Adobe suite of products – desirable.
