Quality Assurance Officer Private Advertiser location Melbourne. $71,000 + 11% Superannuation.

An opportunity is now available at large a food processing facility for a Quality Assurance Officer on their day shift 5:30am-1:30pm Monday through Friday. Reporting to the on-site Quality Assurance Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining systems that comply with BRC, HACCP, Global Standard for Food Safety and applicable external customer standards. Along with maintaining records for audits, quality assurance monitoring, reporting and administration whilst supporting the QAM.

Your responsibilities monitoring and reporting on site compliance to relevant regulations, food safety, quality and customer standards ensuring compliance. Performing daily quality and GMP checks.

Performs sampling and product testing, ensuring that it meets in-line, final product, raw material and environmental specifications. Reporting any food safety hazards and non-conformances to Manager. Ensures compliance with relevant requirements. Data entry and filling of QA records. Additional tasks as directed by the QA Manager.

Your attributes 2+ years of experience in quality assurance within the food industry. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field. Strong knowledge of food safety, quality procedures and practices. Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations, such as HACCP and FDA guidelines.

Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Excellent time management and administrative skills. An ability to work with a broad range of people from different backgrounds. Solid computer skills, including Word & Outlook. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Current Australian Work rights.

The offer on offer is a generous salary package starting at $71,000 plus superannuation for somebody with a proven track record in quality assurance. Position is based in Dandenong.
