Dry Food New Zealand is a purpose-built manufacturing facility designed to offer flexible end-to-end service with our range of drying technologies, oil extraction capability, customised milling and packing equipment, full formulation services, and strategic partnerships to support product development from concept to finished product.

With over 20 years’ experience, we are a respected and agile supply partner of locally sourced and manufactured nutraceutical and functional food ingredients – we take New Zealand to the world through leveraging an established network of supply sources, expertise, drying technologies, formulation team, and our strategic partnerships.  Better raw materials, quality processing, and better nutrition.

Our goal is to manufacture the highest quality powder and oil for our customers, who are predominantly based in the UK, North America, and Australia. We are looking for an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to manage and work closely with our team. The role is responsible to manage food safety compliance, export registrations/compliance, and our RMP/HACCP system. This is a great opportunity to work for a small but rapidly expanding business, with a varied portfolio of customers and products.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful applicant will become part of a small, highly motivated team; managing a dynamic, growing business which has export registrations for fish, meat, honey and dairy ingredients.

Day in the life of the role monitoring and delegating day to day technical/quality services to ensure all tasks are covered by team members. Managing the RMP and SOPs together with a small team. Providing analysis and assessment of opportunities and risks arising from the assessment.

Influencing and educating both technical and quality teams on how to implement and maintain mature assurance systems, and clearly communicate corrective action requirements where appropriate.

Handling all regulatory and customer audits, and dealing with outcomes in a timely manner. Coordinating and representing the organisation to external stakeholders in quality services areas as requested. Be involved in new product development as required. Leading the Quality team to achieve team goals and grow within the business.

What will you bring to the table at least 5 years' experience in quality assurance, compliance or food technology in a manufacturing environment. Strong practical knowledge in the food sector and familiar with NZ food safety standards. Self-motivated and proactive. Be prepared to take the lead and willing to work with and lead a small team. Proficient communication skills. Exposure to RMP will be advantageous.
