About the role the Public Support Information Officer role is located within the Regulation Support Unit of Licensing & Regulation Division. The Regulation Support Unit is responsible for providing customer service to licence holders and applicants, preparing correspondence, receiving documents and court records.

We are seeking those with great interpersonal skills, experience working within a complex and high-volume customer service and data entry environment with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Your duties will include the assessment, validation and investigation of new and renewal licence and permit applications in accordance with legislation, policy, and standard operating procedures. Providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers by responding to inbound phone and email enquiries.

Accurate collection, input, collation, and storage of data. Making sound determinations in relation to the above application types within identified processing timeframes. The provision of administration support, including preparation of correspondence, reviewing document submissions and records.

Requirements and relevant information one (1) x full-time, ongoing position available. This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands. Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa. The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
