Project Officer University of South Australia location Adelaide. Starting salary: $78,975 per annum plus 17% super.
Based in UniSA Justice & Society at the Magill Campus. Full-time, fixed term contract until 6 March 2026. Commencement salary: $78,975 per annum plus 17% super.
About you, you're a proactive and detail-oriented Project Officer with a knack for problem-solving and innovative thinking. You thrive in fast-paced environments, working equally well independently or as part of a team. About the role reporting to the Executive Officer, you will provide high-level project support to the Academic Unit's executive team and unit. You will play a key role in tracking project milestones, evaluating outcomes, and supporting research initiatives.
You will also work closely with the Dean of Research and the Dean of Programs, providing exceptional administrative support to enhance research activities, foster a vibrant research culture, and contribute to world-class teaching and education services.

Essential Skills and experience tertiary qualifications in a related area or extensive equivalent experience gained within a university environment, demonstrating an understanding of project management, teaching, learning, and research. Demonstrated experience in the management of projects requiring the development of strong collaborative working relationships across functional boundaries.
Highly developed research and analytical skills and experience in the interpretation of statistical data and the interpretation and application of policies and procedures. High-level administrative skills including experience providing executive officer support to committees, experience in developing and maintaining high level paper-based and electronic administrative systems, and experience in identifying and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and anticipate requirements. High degree of initiative and resourcefulness, with the ability to instigate and undertake tasks with minimal supervision and acting as a team-player.
