Project Officer The Smith Family location Sydney. The Smith Family is a national, independent children’s charity helping disadvantaged Australians to get the most out of their education, so they can create better futures for themselves. We are now seeking a Project Officer to join our growing team. Reporting to the Project Manager, Financial Literacy and working with a dedicated and passionate team, support school and community partners to build community capacity, contributing to The Smith Family’s vision. A day in the life of our Project Officer might look like this, but every day can be different. Primarily, you will be responsible for work with the policy analyst to develop an implementation plan for 6 pilots of job read-e, oversee and coordinate all aspects of the implementation plan, for example developing materials to support the ongoing implementation of the job read-e program, liaising with platform provider in relation to technology issues, maintain relationships with the smith family local team members, volunteers and schools that contribute to the success of the pilot of job read-e, supporting local teams in the recruitment of young people to job read-e, training volunteers on how to effectively implement tools and rubrics when providing careers related feedback to young people. It takes a special kind of person to be our Project Officer. Our successful candidate will bring the following relevant tertiary level qualification, demonstrated experience in managing and implementing multiple tasks/projects and juggling competing stakeholder priorities and interests, demonstrated capacity to effectively manage and maintain positive working relationships, including across geographically dispersed locations, strong communication skills, particularly using language which is accessible to a variety of audiences, excellent organisational, administrative (including computer literacy) and time management skills.
