We are currently looking for a Project Officer with Cost Control experience to support the Rail Systems Alliance Work Package for the Metro Tunnel Project. The Role The Project Officer position exists to support to the OCS/ICT team in the preparation of reports, management of information and documentation, office management and general team support.

Responsibilities administrative support for the monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, staffing and contract reviews. Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards (e.g., International Standards Organization). Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing projects on time and to budget.

Support the team with adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements. Be the point of contact for the team for activities driven by other functions. Be the point of contact for on-boarding new team members and ensure documentation is arranged in a timely manner in preparation for the start date.

Preparing and loading of purchase requisitions and ensuring Purchase Orders are issued to the relevant supplier. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices and to facilitate payment in accordance with established terms and conditions of sales order/ contract for MTM Projects. Responsible for monitoring contract status for all suppliers and contractors. Assist in the coordination of financial reports detailing team status and expenditure.

Work with Cost Control teams to source information specific to the team. Liaise with the team in the preparation and distribution of correspondence. Assist in the presentation of contracts and other technical documents as required. Record labour hours and ensure timesheets are received and processed in a timely manner. Liaise with and follow up with key stakeholders. Represent Metro positively in the workplace, the community and relevant government and industry bodies.

About you general business knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process. Familiar with project management practices. Familiar with current scheduling cost control and Project Management techniques. Experience in the application of the various project administration and management software packages.
