About the Role:

At Bunnings, we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations across Australia and New Zealand. As we continue to grow through new store builds, expansions and upgrades we’re on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager with experience in delivering projects of a technical nature from Battery Energy Storage Systems, EV Charging, Solar, HVAC, LED lighting installations, Electrification of existing services and much more.

As our Project Manager for Technical Services, you’ll be responsible for project planning, scheduling, quality control, resource allocation, accounting and safety with “End to end” project ownership. You will advise on the technical aspects of the Bunnings Warehouse Construction Brief whilst recommending design, cost and time saving improvements.

This is a unique opportunity to work for Australia’s most trusted brand in the highly experienced Store Development and Construction team while helping to influence business direction for all things services related for our Retail Stores, Distribution and Fulfilment Centres and associated brands (Frame and Truss, Tool Kit Depot, Beaumont Tiles).

What’s involved:

An ability to lead your project team to the end goal in a professional manner, including Services Consultants, Planners, Designers, Engineers, Maintenance, Operators and Main Contractors
Prepare tender documents of a technical nature for competitive tender
Monitor the progress of the construction activities and ensure activities are sequenced to pre-determined schedules to minimise the disruption to customers and store teams
Demonstrate improvement on established project parameters (i.e. safety, cost, sales disruption, time, quality and compliance)
Liaise with Retail, Distribution and other Management and minimise project disruption on operations and customers
Complete handover procedures to the operations teams and maintenance teams in a timely manner whilst ensuring compilation of Warranty and As Built Documentation
You’ll need:

Relevant qualifications in the Building and Construction industry (Electrical / HVAC) & in delivering multiple capital works projects and developments of a technical / services nature
Holder of approved and current OH&S certification (eg Worksafe Victoria “White Card”)
Good financial acumen and cost plan management skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills both Internally & Externally
Experience of working in live environments
Demonstrated examples of innovation and performance
