About the Opportunity

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT and business projects from ‘Initiate’ to ‘Close’ phases, implementing a variety of IT projects comprising infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, enterprise systems and business capability. The Project Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, partners and external vendors, to ensure solutions are aligned with strategic objectives and delivered on time within agreed scope and budget.

Some flexibility around working hours is required as you will be partnering with others in different time zones and occasional travel may be undertaken.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day execution of projects across the project delivery lifecycle on time, cost and scope.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources allocation, costs and dependencies.
Lead and motivate teams including Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Process Modellers, Technical Specialists and Change Managers, among others.
Managing third parties and contract deliverables.
Ensure project governance, quality assurance and compliance.
Capture and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
Monitor and report on project progress, track milestones and proactively control the project to manage deviations from the plan.
About you

Hold a tertiary qualification in Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Project management experience in large and complex environments, across multiple workstreams and stakeholder groups.
Proven track record in successfully delivering a broad range of enterprise IT projects and business initiatives.
Possess an understanding of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile/Scrum, among others.
Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Jira or similar.
Skilled in project planning, scheduling, budget, risk, and change management.
The ability to develop and manage cross-functional teams.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at senior levels.
Commercial acumen and experience in business case development and contract management.
Flexible and adaptable to work within a dynamic environment where you may need to adjust course at short notice without compromising project outcomes.
Recognised Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM) would be advantageous but not essential.
Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
