About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join Swinburne’s Property, Space & Infrastructure Projects team as a Project Manager.

Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of capital and infrastructure projects across the university. Reporting to the Associate Director, Project Delivery, you’ll manage projects of varying complexity, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic priorities.

This role is ideal for a proactive and organised professional with strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. You’ll work closely with academic and operational teams, consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with governance and risk frameworks.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Support the end-to-end delivery of assigned capital and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with time, cost, scope, and quality parameters.
• Develop business cases, project plans, risk registers, budgets, and progress reports.
• Coordinate the project lifecycle from initiation to design, procurement, construction, and operational handover.
• Engage with stakeholders, including academic and operational teams, and external consultants, to align project outcomes with university goals.
• Monitor project schedules and key milestones, identifying and addressing potential risks and delays.
• Ensure adherence to university policies, infrastructure frameworks, and design standards.
• Maintain project documentation, ensuring compliance with financial, procurement, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets, cost estimates, and expenditure tracking and forecasting.

Qualifications
• A tertiary qualification in project management, construction, engineering, or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
