Your new company

A well-established, privately owned Australian construction contractor delivering detail-focused building and fitout projects across multiple sectors. This business is known for its collaborative culture, strong pipeline of work and commitment to innovation, sustainability and supporting its people on and off site. Teams work nationally, giving staff exposure to diverse projects, clients and delivery environments.

Your new role

As a Project Engineer within a dedicated multisite delivery team, you will support the successful delivery of a portfolio of fitout projects typically ranging from small to mid-sized values. No two days will be the same, with involvement in planning, coordination and on-site delivery.
The role will require domestic travel, with an initial interstate deployment for a fixed period, followed by ongoing involvement in projects nationally. You will work closely with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, to quality standards and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:
Assisting with planning, coordination and delivery of fitout projects
Managing subcontractors and suppliers on site
Supporting client and stakeholder relationships
Monitoring cost, programme, quality and safety outcomes
Contributing to risk management and problem-solving on live projects
Supporting HSE, quality and industrial relations requirements
What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring a proactive, hands-on attitude and enjoy working in fast-paced project environments.

You will also have:
Tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management or Civil Engineering
At least 7 years’ experience in the building and construction industry, ideally on fitout or refurbishment projects
Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and risk management
The ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of challenges
Experience coordinating subcontractors and working with multiple stakeholders
Basic understanding of contracts administration and project controls
Familiarity with common construction project management and planning software
What you'll get in return

In return, you’ll join a contractor that genuinely invests in its people and offers long-term career opportunities.

You can expect:
Exposure to varied projects across different locations and sectors
Clear pathways for career progression based on your interests and performance
A supportive, team-focused culture with strong leadership backing
Ongoing formal and on-the-job learning and development
Additional leave benefits linked to tenure
Access to wellbeing, health and community engagement initiatives.
