Job Description
This position is required to provide supervision and support to successful applicants commencing in the Skilling Queenslanders for Work projects. The Project Coordinator will build rapport with the successful applicants delivering tailored learning and conduct job readiness activities to meet the project and applicant needs.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the project requirements are met and monthly reporting is completed.
Responsibilities include:
Sourcing suitable participants who are eligible to participate in the government funded project.
Ensuring that each participant is registered and inducted into the program
Preparing participants for employment by offering relevant soft skills training, work experience coaching activities.
Providing support to participants to ensure qualifications are achieved.
Identifying any additional support needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
This role is ideal for a someone with previous experience in project management or a supervisory role. Familiarity with construction safety standards and experience in delivering face to face group training is highly desirable.
Additionally, you will possess:
Previous experience in employment services.
Strong administrative, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
High level communication skills, both written and verbal
High level of professionalism in organising work including time-management, priority tasking and problem solving.
Ability to operate as an excellent team player; one that takes personal responsibility for their own work, who acts with initiative and sound judgement and assists others to achieve desirable outcomes.
