About cottonsoft we are a FMCG company who have been proudly manufacturing and distributing market-leading brands of high quality, sustainably made toilet and tissue paper products throughout New Zealand for over 30 years.

Our well-loved portfolio of retail and commercial brands include Paseo, CottonSofts, KiwiSofts, Tuffy, CUTE & CO., EarthSmart and Livi, and our product range includes toilet roll, facial tissue, paper towel, nappies, and wipes.

Our Cottonsoft family is continues to grow; we currently have over 200 employees throughout New Zealand and three manufacturing sites. Two are in Auckland, located in Highbrook and Wiri. The other site is in Dunedin and has been operational since 1988.

The opportunity as a Production Team Leader, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead, motivate and train a team of skilled Machine Operators, whilst ensuring the productivity and successful execution of the planned operational schedules.

This role would suit a Team Leader with excellent time management skills and people skills with an ability to engage with their team members and build trust. The role lead the production team, mentor and motivate team members, ensuring individual and group productivity.

Allocate tasks to shift team on a daily basis. Co-ordinate with engineer, performance issues and maintenance breakdown priorities. Ensure all quality procedures and processes are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Ensuring all data is recorded and collated each day. Communicate with other team leaders – job status and previous shift performance. Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are followed by all team. Ensuring operators are trained in, Health and Safety Standards, Quality Standards and Operating Standards. Contribute to monthly production reports.

About you take the lead with a strong Health and Safety focus. Gains satisfaction from mentoring and training others. Minimum of two years in a manufacturing environment. Effective communication skills and ability to build a genuine rapport and trust with others.

Proven problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot. Able to work a rotating shift roster, working both days and nights. Excellent literacy and numerical skills. Intermediate PC Skills (MS Office, Word and Excel).

Our Shift Roster structure our Business Parade site in East Tamaki is operational 24/7. You will be working a four-on, four-off, rotating shift pattern.  This means that you will work both days and nights. Your rotating shift pattern will be 4 x day shifts: 6.45am to 7pm. 4 x rostered days off. 4 x night shifts: 6.45pm to 7am. 4 x rostered days off.
