The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the sourcing of services in VGA and support of concurrent procurement projects or activities as required. Reporting to our Group Head of Procurement based in Zetland 3 days per week you will support strategic sourcing initiatives in line with broader business objectives and conduct go-to-market RFx in accordance with Group and VGA company policies.

Your main responsibilities will include develop and deliver sourcing strategies for assigned categories/services/projects and identify cost and performance drivers within assigned responsibilities which drives value for VGA and optimises spend under management.

Provide end-to-end support in contract management including contract drafting, internal approval process, contract execution and record management. Act as vendor escalations contact for VGA and driving long term supplier innovation. Provide advice to stakeholders on procurement insights and requirements for new initiatives.

Ensure compliance with Group Procurement policies and procedures, code of conduct, ethical practices, industry principles and adhere to all relevant laws and regulations. Deliver regular spend analysis, contract reports and other reports as required. Maintain a rolling initiative pipeline to track delivered and projected savings.

About you to succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following tertiary qualification in relevant field such as commerce/economics/law/engineering required. Strong experience within procurement, sourcing, category management or projects background. Automotive passion or understanding desireable.

Experience in management of competitive tenders. Successful negotiation, problem solving and project management skillset.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional, collaborative and influential approach to stakeholder management and relationship building.
