Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for delivering value through smart procurement? Our Procurement Specialist plays a key role in shaping procurement strategies across diverse portfolios. You'll lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, drive cost-saving and value-add opportunities, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes. What you’ll be doing
As a Procurement Specialist working for Kmart you will:
Lead and manage end-to-end market engagements across varying portfolios including issue of RFX, evaluations, stakeholder and supplier communication, lead negotiations, and finalisation of contracts.
Partner with stakeholders to develop innovative supply strategies, establish supply arrangements and lead negotiations to deliver value for money outcomes.
Research and identify supply markets and supplier capability and competitiveness.
Work with the wider procurement team to develop, detailed contract management plans, KPIs, performance reviews, benefits tracking and reporting for significant procurement spend categories
Provision of ongoing contract and stakeholder support including contract execution, implementation, issues resolution, delegation matters, contract expiry monitoring, commercial advice & engagement of Wesfarmers Legal.
To be successful in this role you’ll have:
Strong level of experience in managing Procurement processes, evaluation and contract formation, minimum 5 years.
Strong communication skills to efficiently communicate strategies and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
Strong experience in building relationships
Ability to ensure effective governance, approach to procurement and contract management are integrated into procurement activities
Experience in developing procurement strategies based on market conditions, category/service analysis together with knowledge of business demand and requirements.
Previous experience with IT Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing and Online highly regarded.
An attitude and aptitude to develop and engage a range of approaches to generate solutions, seek SME inputs and advice to inform the negotiating strategies.
Team mentality to work collaboratively with others, to solve issues and develop better processes and approaches to situations.
Multi-tasking abilities to juggle tasks and deliver outcomes in a fast moving, dynamic environment
Ability to work autonomously, with a sense of pride in delivering as promised.
