About us international Services is a specialist unit within Housing and Income Support Services. We are responsible for the administration of New Zealand's Social Security Agreements and Portability/Special portability arrangements. We provide policy advice and benefit assistance for people wishing to reside overseas, those already living overseas and those moving to New Zealand from an overseas country.

About the role as a Processing Officer you will administer the process for clients who receive a benefit or pension who have lived and/or worked overseas.  You will test their eligibility for overseas payments, in accordance with New Zealand's legislation, social security agreements and other arrangements, ensuring an equitable financial support system for all New Zealanders.

About you we are looking for people who have excellent client service skills, can problem solve complex client situations, have good time management, and a high level of both written and verbal communication skills.

Most importantly you take pride in quality service that centres on clients – ensuring they have a positive experience with us, every time. You are target oriented, have initiative; self-managing, work well under pressure and meet timeframes. You will need to adapt and accept change as a positive challenge, while working well in a team environment.
