The Tiwai Hauora Group delivers a broad range of health & social services throughout its rohe and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior management to provide leadership, expertise and strategic advice to our operational team and service delivery.
The position the Principal Advisor: Operations is a member of our senior management team, reporting to the Group Manager (Tiwai Hauora) and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Tiwai Hauora, with a particular focus on service delivery, financial and contract management, managing high performing teams, data infrastructure and systems integration. The role provides strategic advice to the Group Manager and guidance, support and direction to the Directors of Health and Social Services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.
Key Responsibility areas this role will have a very strong focus on driving operational goals, providing leadership and oversight to the development and establishment of our systems and data infrastructure, reflecting the group’s intended strategic direction and aspirations.
Overseeing the financial management and business performance of the group to ensure accuracy, stability, compliance and diversification. Identifying and mitigating risks that could negatively impact our reputation and operations.
Oversee the current local commissioning function and building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Working closely with HR and IT teams to ensure best practices and systems integration are aligned with our group’s goals and operational efficiencies.
The successful candidate will need the following competencies experience within the social or health services within a Te Ao Maori environment would be highly advantageous. A degree in Business Management, Social Services, Finance, Information Systems or equivalent. A minimum of five years in a senior management position that enhances organisational value.
Proven financial management performance, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, planning and models. Knowledge and experience working with the principals and methods of strategic planning, program evaluation, performance management and results reporting.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to formulate, implement and execute project plans. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge and understanding of Quality and Risk management systems. Inspirational leader with a successful track record of mentoring and coaching high performing teams and people management.
