Service Stream are hiring a Pre-works Coordinator for our M7 O&M contract (Transport Division). Reporting to the Network Intelligence and Operations Centre (NIOC) Manager, the Pre-Works Coordinator supports all M7 motorway planning, scheduling, preparation and dispatch, so tasks can be carried out “right first time, every time” by the Delivery Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimise daily, weekly, fortnightly, and 6–12 month forward work schedules aligned with approved maintenance programs.
Prepare comprehensive work packs including scope, location, work instructions, HSE risk assessments/SWMS, traffic management, and access requirements.
Allocate labour, plant, and materials to each job and dispatch work packs to qualified internal crews or subcontractors.
Identify jobs requiring further scoping and coordinate with inspectors and delivery crews to gather missing details.
Ensure all work packs are complete and ready for execution prior to scheduling.
Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders to support efficient planning and delivery.
About You:

Three years’ minimum experience in a road maintenance or civil works environment
Minimum two years’ experience carrying out detailed planning of maintenance and/or construction tasks on state or local road networks.
Detailed knowledge of work methodologies for road maintenance operations, including safety, traffic management, access, permit and licensing requirements
Exceptional time-management skills and attention to detail in document control and data management
Strong understanding of asset management, supported by hands-on experience with work management systems, GIS tools, scheduling platforms, and Office 365.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, evidenced by productive working relationships with colleagues and delivery partners
A relentless focus on workforce, road user and community safety in your approach to all tasks
Formal qualifications (Cert III or higher) in civil construction are desirable, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and capability
