The Improvement, Systems and Technology (IST) group are all about enabling people and partners with improved services and effective technologies so New Zealanders can easily access the support they need. We are organising into practices to foster continuous learning, collaboration, and expertise. Our newly established practices need passionate, highly organised and engaged Practice Coordinators to join us as we evolve the way we work.

About the role as a Practice Coordinator based in either Wellington or Auckland, you will be fundamental to our mahi, working closely with Practice Managers and Practice Leaders within IST to support the recruitment, operations and ways of working for practices across the group. You will play a key role in engaging with leaders and stakeholders to support our people and contribute to a positive experience across IST.

Key accountabilities and deliverables support Practice Managers, Practice Leads and IST leaders with practice-related coordination and administration activities, ensuring accurate and high-quality information is available for effective reporting and resource planning.

Support IST leaders to manage various aspects of the practice's recruitment process. This includes advertising, applicant selection, and overseeing candidate interviews and employment document coordination, while working alongside the Recruitment Partner for Improvement Systems and Technology. Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding procedures, collaborating closely with leaders across IST.

Assist Practice Managers and Practice Leads in ensuring processes are followed and actively contribute to the identification, monitoring, and management of risks. Provide guidance to IST leaders regarding various people-related systems, processes, practices, and policies. Support Practice with projects, planning and analysis as required.

About you, you will have excellent communication, self-management, and interpersonal skills. An eye for detail and strong prioritisation, organisation, and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated successful stakeholder coordination skills in a complex environment, including experience building and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships with competing priorities. An interest in technology and capability development. Previous exposure in Human Resources or Recruitment is desirable.
