The opportunity we have exciting new opportunities for physiotherapist’s to within Primary Care and make a difference to the health and wellbeing of our Western Bay of Plenty community. We have casual and part-time positions available.
Based in Tauranga and reporting to the General Manager: Community Services, co-located within General Practice, this role will assess and provide care for individuals and families at high risk of poor health outcomes within primary and community settings, with a focus on actively supporting the prevention of hospital admissions.
Duties will include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a range of disorders and injuries including musculoskeletal within your scope of practice. Development and facilitation of rehabilitation programmes for people with long-term conditions, for example respiratory or neurological conditions including self-management options within your scope of practice.
Provide support and education to people to best manage their own health. Be a key member of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and be actively involved in IDT structure and functions.
About you, you’ll bring to the role Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent overseas qualification. A current APC with no restrictions. Minimum 7 years' experience practicing as a Physiotherapist. Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action. Primary or community healthcare experience.
