Use your solid HR generalist experience to influence and support the delivery of Kāinga Ora's strategy. Annual salary of $131,727 plus with 5 weeks' annual leave, plus KiwiSaver and other benefits. Permanent position, can be based in Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch office. Flexible work options in a modern office with activity-based workspaces.

Our role a trusted advisor, the People Partner provides robust and effective, tactical people advice and support to operational people leaders. The People Partner challenges thinking, providing fresh insight and information to people leaders ensuring they make the best decisions for their team and the organisation.

We are looking for an HR generalist with solid experience who can hit the ground running and who is used to working at pace. You will be comfortable working in the grey and anticipating the needs of the business, keeping people at the heart of all that you do.

What you will bring a tertiary qualification in HR and/or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in HR/ER disciplines (including disciplinary matters, personal grievances, investigations, mediation, conflict resolution, change management) in large complex organisations (500+) with active unions.

Proven experience advising on complex ER issues and a wide range of employment solutions, preferably in a public/government sector. Ability to assess a situation based on HR best practice, knowledge of employment law, business needs and practical experience.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills to get to know the business and effectively influence the best outcomes for our people. An ability to travel within NZ and be away from home from time to time.
