About the role the People Hub Officer is primarily responsible for client focussed and timely data collection and input of source documentation into HealthRoster, HealthRoster user support and the timely flow of time and attendance records to StaffLink Payroll, resolving staff payroll enquiries, managing paramedic crewing line and providing access support for medisafes.

The People Hub Officer has a sound knowledge and understanding of time and attendance matters related to rostering processes, practices, roles, responsibilities and the rostering and payroll systems and tools currently used across NSW Ambulance.

Key Knowledge and experience demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience in use of current rostering systems and tools such as HealthRoster, Kronos, myShift and incident management systems such as CA Service Desk Manager (SDM) or similar and / or experience in using current payroll systems and tools such as StaffLink etc.

Ability to interpret and apply Acts, Regulations, Awards and Agreements to determine staff pay outcomes and/or sound knowledge of NSW Ambulance’s operational and staffing requirements including annual leave management, resource management, overtime practices and reporting. Demonstrated ability to provide a high level customer support service regarding payroll and/or rostering system matters in a high pressure work environment.

Commitment to ongoing training and becoming proficient in all aspects of the role. Demonstrated effective planning and organisational skills with the ability to deliver multiple outcomes within tight timeframes with high attention to detail. Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, demonstrated ability to successfully build relationships including a demonstrated commitment to providing effective client services and to interact with involved staff, management and external stakeholders.

Flexible, adaptable and committed to achieving results with demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Well-developed PC/keyboard skills and experience in the use of Microsoft Office software and database systems.
