About the role the People Assist Hub is a new team that sits within the People & Culture Directorate. The Hub will be the first point of contact for SESLHD managers and employees when seeking advice/guidance/support across a number of functions including workforce operations, human resources and health safety & wellbeing.

The People Assist Hub Officer provides a range of customer service, administrative and support services for the People Assist Hub team to enable the provision of high level detailed advice, guidance and support in People & Culture processes and business functions. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team that directly supports the health workforce. Position is located at Randwick on the Randwick Hospitals Campus.

Duties as a first point of contact provide quality detailed advice, guidance & services to SESLHD managers and employees on a broad range of people & culture functions including but not limited to Workforce Operations (recruitment, rostering, workforce reporting), human resources and health safety & wellbeing. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of quality People & Culture services. Liaise and maintain effective relationships with Senior Managers, line management and staff to facilitate high quality client/patient focused services.

Participate as a member of People & Culture in the delivery, development and implementation of People & Culture services and programs with a commitment to continuous quality improvement of the service. Participate in the development, maintenance and review of administrative processes, systems and procedures to improve People & Culture efficiency.

Proven experience in performing a wide range of high level administrative tasks, while managing competing work priorities and work flow within allocated resources. Experience of responding to a range of customer enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated initiative and the ability to bring a creative approach to problem solving.

Ability to work independently and with a demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork and exchange information to contribute to the coordination of work between teams. Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures. Experience in the use of Human Resources Information Systems, records management systems and Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Demonstrated capacity to exercise confidentiality and discretion in relation to People & Culture functions.
