Our continued growth has created a new and exciting opportunity for a permanent part time Payroll / Accounts Payable Officer to work from our Head Office in Norwest. This role would be ideal for an experienced accounts all rounder looking to work school hours (25 to 30) hours per week. FireSense is a specialist supplier of Electronic Fire Systems and Fire Rated cabling products to Installers and Wholesalers. We are a dynamic, fast growing, independently owned business.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the processing of Payroll and Accounts Payable alaong with assisting the Accounts team with other ad hoc activities.

More specifically, your role will include Review new employee details ensuring all paperwork is correct including lodging TFN with the ATO. Maintain MYOB payroll with correct details and changes for employee’s Process timely and accurately the weekly payroll. Maintain and file employee records Keep up to date with employment legislation, awards and fair work Attend to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain Payroll procedures.

Accounts Payable duties process and manage accurate recording of invoices into MYOB ensuring tax invoices are correctly recorded and coded for GST, Import or Capital codes to comply with GST legislation. Ensure accurate and timely filing of processed invoices ready for payment.

Respond to supplier account queries and resolve any invoice discrepancies in a professional manner. Assist the Financial Accountant with AP reconciliations. Assist with Accounts Receivable and other ad hoc duties when required.

The successful applicant should meet the following requirements experienced with MYOB (Account Right) preferred, minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll processing and general accounting, be "hands on" and be willing to drive change, comfortable in working closely together in a privately owned business with active directors, for more information on our company and our products, please feel free to visit our website.
