Patient Bookings Officer Healthscope location Sydney.

Supportive work environment. Permanent part time role, work alongside our professional team in this varied role. Great location close to public transport and onsite discounted parking. We are seeking expressions of interest for a dynamic and highly motivated team player who would be able to provide support to the Patient/Theatre Bookings. The role has a high administrative and customer service component and will require availability 5 days per week.

Our Administration Team have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work alongside Administration staff in supporting the hospital's Patient and Theatre Bookings.

About us Nepean Private Hospital is located in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating Theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As a Patient Bookings Officer your responsibilities will include management of the Theatre Bookings Email Inbox. Checking lists and accurate entry of Theatre Bookings. Distribution of daily theatre lists.

Regular follow up with Specialists and their Practice Managers and confirmation of lists. Attendance of Theatre Meetings daily and working with Theatre staff to ensure smooth process in patient bookings. Customer service and patient enquiries. Updating patient Webpas and Medical Record files and Data Entry. Daily reports, An understanding of procedures and MBS Item Numbers.

Essential criteria an understanding of the WEBPAS Patient Management System or similar. Previous experience in a Theatre Bookings role with knowledge of procedures and MBS Item Numbers. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask. Able to work independently and within a busy team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High level of attention to detail Exceptional customer service skills. Works well independently and within a team. Computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel). Assurance to participate in flexible rostering. Medical Terminology or willingness to obtain.
