Pathways to Settlement Manager in Blenheim (Social Worker). Permanent – Fulltime; 37.5 hours per week.

If so, we have the role for you As the Pathways to Settlement Manager, you will lead our Pathways to Settlement programme in Blenheim. This is an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of people from refugee backgrounds while managing a team who are working hard to do good in our community. The Pathways to Settlement Manager is a Senior Social Worker/leader who oversees provision of client support to former refugees and ensures safe practice as well as contributes to development of social work and settlement work within the service. The role is also responsible for building and maintaining networks with service providers in the community sector and ensuring referral routes into mainstream service providers.

Some more skills and qualifications that would help you in the role have a tertiary social work qualification and relevant experience in social work. Hold full registration with the Social Worker Registration Board. Can demonstrate strengths-based social work and cross-cultural understanding.

Have recent experience in managing a team of people from a variety of disciplines. Have refugee lived experience or have a comprehensive understanding of the refugee settlement process. Have proven experience of the ability to network and build positive working relationships.

We offer a supportive team environment, ongoing training and professional development, external supervision, and five weeks annual leave. This role is covered by social work pay equity and the salary is category 4, step 9-15 of the pay spine (pro rata) based on experience.
